- Keep it simple and non-fussy

Flowers in bloom during summer:
Allium: the alium ‘white’ has pretty clusters of white flowers; the Allium nigrum, pom-pom-like white heads.
Astrantia: A shaggy flower with wide green and white stars
Hydrangea: overblown, mop-like blooms that look lovely mixed with green.
Lily: Many varieties to choose from. Strongly scented and dramatic.
Lisianthus: delicate, tissue-like petals open from a tightly twirled bud.
Peony: beautiful, large, fragrant blooms that make a lovely unstructured display
Sweet Pea: frilled flowers great for bedrooms with a soft sweet scent.
Solanum: Softy scented and pretty.
